:02: Heart Warmers & Inspiration
+ The Frenchy. Every time I watch this video, it makes me so happy. I want to be friends with this man.
+ Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens: The way Owens describes the natural world is spectacular. Every time I read these pages, I was immediately transported into marshes of the North Carolina coast. This is the best novel I’ve read in a long time.
+ Mary Oliver’s poems. My sister recently bought one of her books which inspired me to look up a few of her poems every week. This one has served me well recently.
It doesn’t have to be
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones; just
pay attention, then patch
a few words together and don’t try
to make them elaborate, this isn’t
a contest but the doorway
into thanks, and a silence in which
another voice may speak.
